Otis Batterbee’s fascination for design and manufacturing comes from his family’s rich history in fashion and production. The family factory in London’s East End kept stores such as Harrods and Liberty stocked with the latest fashions from the 60’s through to the early 90’s.
Otis spent school holidays at his family’s factory and cut his teeth on the shop floor before studying fashion at the world renowned Central Saint Martin’s College of Art in London. Upon graduating Otis worked for a number of luxury brands before launching his eponymous label in 2009.
Born in London, Otis weaves his sartorial sensibility across the brands signature range of travel accessories and leather goods. With London’s Savile Row and the British Countryside as reference points, Otis also draws inspiration from his travels, the theme of exploration being the starting point for many of the products he creates.
The brand expertly produces most of its products in England, working with craftsmen who have a passion and dedication for British leather and textiles. Using the finest components, Otis Batterbee commissions weavers in Yorkshire and leather tanners in the West Country to create a range of desirable accessories.
